Tahanan

Family and parenting modules in faith and spirituality, and specially designed to familiarize parents on St. Marie Eugenie's teachings on character formation, faith formation, and leadership for service of the young. It also increases the awareness of the parents in their role in the development of a truly Christian home that nurtures and forms society's future Christian leaders.
  • Tahanan is not just a quality of physical place nor relationships in the home; it is an inner space where each one finds peace.
  • Any place can be tahanan if each member of the family finds the best of themselves in peace.
  • We use these words today to stress the need for our families to come home to peace.. so that even when our world seems to be crumbling and we are shaken, broken and feeling hopeless, we can find peace in the tahanan.

Tahanan 1: Peace in the Family

OBJECTIVES
 :
  • To provide the Family Council and parents the opportunity to re-read current family culture vis-à-vis Marie Eugenie’s challenge to form the young with “a character for life, a life for God”.
  • To understand how the family is the focus of character formation.
  • To launch them into an awareness of the power of the family as an agent for social transformation.
Because you are God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with heartfelt mercy, with kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another; forgive whatever grievances you have against one another. Forgive as the Lord has forgiven you.

Over all these virtues put on love, which binds the rest together and makes them perfect. Christ's peace must reign in your hearts, since as members of the one body you have been called to that peace.

Colossians 3:12-17

Tahanan 2: Family Matters
